Metaglos

Digital sales terms

Effective date: 26 July 2026. These terms apply to downloadable ebooks purchased through metaglos.com. The seller is MetaGlos. Customer and legal notices can be sent to info@metaglos.com.

Products and compatibility

MetaGlos sells digital ebook files, not printed books. The product page identifies the title, author, translation language, available file formats and price. Common formats may include EPUB, MOBI, AZW3, PDF, HTML, RTF or TXT. You are responsible for using compatible software or a compatible reading device. Product descriptions, visible edition facts and checkout information form part of the contract.

Ordering and contract formation

You can review and correct the cart and checkout information before submitting an order. Clicking the final order button submits an order with an obligation to pay. A contract is formed when MetaGlos accepts the order and payment is confirmed. An automated receipt that only acknowledges submission is not acceptance if payment failed, the order was rejected, or an obvious catalogue or pricing error prevents fulfilment. MetaGlos may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary to address fraud, sanctions, payment failure, technical duplication or an obvious error; any captured amount for a cancelled order will be returned.

Prices, taxes and payment

Prices are shown in the storefront currency and the final checkout total includes applicable taxes shown before purchase. There are no shipping charges for digital files. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout and may include PayPal, payment cards or other WooPayments methods. The selected payment provider may apply its own account and transaction terms. You must be authorised to use the chosen payment method.

Immediate digital delivery

Purchased files become available through the order confirmation and, where applicable, the customer account after payment is confirmed. Delivery is electronic and normally immediate, although payment review, maintenance or an unexpected technical failure may cause a short delay. Contact info@metaglos.com with the order number if paid files are not available.

Withdrawal acknowledgement

Before placing an order for immediate digital content, you must actively request supply during the statutory withdrawal period and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost when downloading or access begins. The checkbox is separate and is not preselected. MetaGlos stores that acknowledgement and its timestamp with the order and includes confirmation in the order email.

If digital supply has not begun and a mandatory withdrawal right still applies, notify MetaGlos within the applicable 14-day period. Details, exceptions and remedies are explained in the refund and digital content policy. Nothing in these terms excludes a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Licence and permitted use

Purchase grants the customer a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download, store and read the supplied files for private use. Except where law expressly permits otherwise, you may not resell, sublicense, publicly distribute, upload to file-sharing services, remove rights notices, or use the files to build or supply a competing collection. Copyright and other intellectual-property rights remain with their respective owners. Buying a file does not transfer those rights.

Accounts and download security

You must provide accurate checkout information and take reasonable care of account credentials and private download links. Notify MetaGlos promptly if you believe an account or link has been misused. MetaGlos may temporarily restrict abusive automated downloading or sharing while investigating, without removing access that consumer law or the contract requires.

Conformity and remedies

Digital content must conform to the contract. If files are corrupt, materially incomplete, unavailable, not in an advertised format, or otherwise non-conforming, notify MetaGlos with the order number, title, format and problem. MetaGlos will investigate and, where required, provide a working file, restore access, reduce the price or refund/terminate the affected contract. The applicable legal guarantee and mandatory remedies are not limited by these terms.

Refunds and payment errors

No discretionary change-of-mind refund is offered after downloading or access begins, subject always to mandatory withdrawal and conformity rights. Duplicate charges, a captured payment without a completed order, and failed delivery will be investigated. See the refund and digital content policy for the full process.

Availability and liability

MetaGlos may maintain or change the storefront and may withdraw titles from future sale. This does not remove remedies or access rights already owed for completed purchases. To the extent permitted by law, MetaGlos is not responsible for losses caused solely by incompatible third-party reading software, customer credential sharing, unlawful use, or events outside reasonable control. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer remedies.

Privacy, governing law and disputes

Personal data is handled as described in the privacy policy. Belgian law governs these terms, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections available under the law of the consumer’s habitual residence. The parties should first try to resolve a complaint through info@metaglos.com. A consumer may also use any competent consumer mediation or court process available under applicable law. Any jurisdiction clause applies only to the extent legally permitted.

Changes and severability

The terms accepted with an order continue to govern that order. Updated terms apply prospectively from their stated effective date. If one provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent possible.
